Our hockey club is an inclusive and friendly place. We strive for performance, whilst making sure to value the fun in hockey. Both the Mens' and Ladies' have a first and second team that compete in BUCS Wednesday matches, with the Mens and Ladies also participating in the local Midlands League as part of a partnership with Leicester Hockey Club.

In addition to our games and training, we have plenty of socials. We have weekly Wednesday socials, a variety of special events such as charity events, hockey ball and awards evenings. We also have an annual sports tour abroad with the rest of Team Leicester- which tends to be a highlight for many! If you're not a big drinker, we have plenty of more relaxed socials such as a Leicester's Tigers game and climbing socials. We hold many mixed socials with both the mens and ladies side, and sometimes other Team Leicester Sports Clubs. However we also have separate socials so our players can create a strong bond within their teams which enhances their play on the pitch. 

Outside of hockey, we now partake in the Netball Campus League, with both the Mens and Ladies coming together to socilaise and compete. We plan on continuing this in the upcoming year as we won the league this past season. 

We pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and fun-loving environment that feels like a family, an opportunity to make friends for life! No matter what your ability is or age, we'd love you to join and give hockey a go! The Hockey Club is for anyone who wants to meet a group of like-minded individuals who share a passion for the sport, have a great time and maximise their uni experience.

- Mon 21:00 - 22:00 (Oadby) 

- Tue 18:45 - 20:30 (Leicester Grammar School with Leicester Hockey Club)

- Fri 20:00 - 22:00 (Oadby)

Ladies

- Mon 20:00 - 21:00 (Oadby)

- Thurs 19:00 - 20:30 (Leicester Grammar School with Leicester Hockey Club)

- Fri 20:00 - 22:00 (Oadby)

- Wed BUCS and Sat LHC Midlands League

Ladies:

- Wed BUCS and Sat LHC Midlands League

 

Membership Cost: £50

Social Membership Cost: £10 

For Saturday League hockey, a £6 match fee must be paid for every Saturday game played with LHC, either through bank transfer or cash on the day.
