School Reps, previously called Department Reps, are students chosen to represent the views of their school to school and college staff. They attend School Education Committees, and sometimes College Education Committees, working on curriculum and course development. They also work on issues ranging from module content through to methods of teaching, workload, feedback and resources.
Unlike Course Reps, School Reps apply for their role and attend an interview. This is a paid position, and as such School Reps have more responsibilities than a Course Rep. They also have more regular and direct support from the Academic Representation Team.
Contacting your School Rep
While your Course Rep is the first person you should contact, School Reps can step in:
- if your concern effects students across the College or University
- your course does not have a Course Rep.
